If VT-D's interrupt remapping is in place, all IOAPIC RTEs need to get
remapped as well (or then they will be simply blocked).

SHV bit depends on the number of vectors allocated.
If it's facing a multi-vector MSI array, it will set the bit.
If not the bit must be 0.

Add initial support for the GigaDevice External Interrupt Controller.
This driver is required to manage GPIO interrupts. Only EXTI lines 0 to
15 are supported for now (no LVD, RTC, etc.). Driver can be extended in
the future to add support for extra EXTI lines.

The LPI (Locality-specific Peripheral Interrupts) are edge-triggered
message-based interrupts that can use an Interrupt Translation
Service (ITS) to route an interrupt to a specific Redistributor and
connected PE.
This implement the necessary LPI support when an ITS is enabled.
The LPI states are stored in memory-backed tables.

Add driver API for the Interrupt Translation Service GICv3 module.
The Interrupt Translation Service (ITS) translates an input EventID
from a device, identified by its DeviceID, and determines the
corresponding INTID for this input and target Redistributor + target
PE for that INTID to be delivered as LPI interrupt.
The API permits :
- allocating a new unique LPI interrupt number
- initializing support for a new DeviceID and the required EventIDs
- mapping a DeviceID + EventID to a LPI interrupt number
- triggering an LPI with a DeviceID + EventID
This API will be used by the PCIe MSI/MSI-X logic in another patchset.

Add driver implementation and header files for a MEC172x
aggregated interrupt driver. Enable the parent(ECIA) node
to have the driver initialize interrupt hardware for use.
Enable child nodes for those GIRQs used for aggregation.
Refer to chip documention for the list of GIRQs restricted
to aggregation and those which support direct mode.
Add chip level device tree node for MEC172x EC interrupt
aggregator parent and GIRQ children. Each child node contains
a list of sources representing the source bit position in the
GIRQ registers.
Add DT bindings for ECIA and GIRQ nodes.
Add build file(s) and configuration items for the MEC172x ECIA
aggregated interrupt driver. Add and enable the MEC172x interrupt
driver on the MEC172x evaluation board(EVB). Enable parent node to
initialize ECIA hardware. Child nodes are left disabled until a
future driver needs them.

In SMP, MPID is mybe not equal to cpu logic ID, so can't
use MPID to get rdist base address from gic_rdists[], this
patch get logic ID from arch_curr_cpu()->id, and
find current CPU's rdist base address from:
gic_rdists[cpu_logic_id]

The fixed number of 24 RTEs is a legacy thing, and long gone by now.
IOAPICs expose the maximum number of RTEs they have via the version
register, so let's use it.
This avoids to manually tweak a Kconfig option (which is now removed)
and fixes the RTE number for all x86 targets relevantly.

In _isr_wrapper, the interrupt ID read from the GIC is blindly used to
index into _sw_isr_table, which is only sized based on CONFIG_NUM_IRQ.
It is possible for both GICv2 and GICv3 to return 1023 for a handful
of scenarios, the simplest of which is a level sensitive interrupt
which has subsequently become de-asserted. Borrowing from the Linux
GIC implementation, a read that returns an interrupt ID of 1023 is
simply ignored.
Minor collateral changes to gic.h to group !_ASMLANGUAGE content
together to allow this header to be used in assembler files.

Such interrupt remapping controller may be found along with Intel VT-D
hardware. Its base-address is via ACPI, and it enables up to 64K
interrupt indexes.

If IO APIC is in logical destination mode, local APICs compare their
logical APIC ID defined in LDR (Logical Destination Register) with
the destination code sent with the interrupt to determine whether or not
to accept the incoming interrupt.
This patch programs LDR in xAPIC mode to support IO APIC logical mode.
The local APIC ID from local APIC ID register can't be used as the
'logical APIC ID' because LAPIC ID may not be consecutive numbers hence
it makes it impossible for LDR to encode 8 IDs within 8 bits.
This patch chooses 0 for BSP, and for APs, cpu_number which is the index
to x86_cpuboot[], which ultimately assigned in z_smp_init[].

Add basic driver for GIC V3 interrupt controller.
This implementation supports
- distributor, re-distributor and cpu interface initialization
- configuration and handling of SPI, PPI and SGI.
- V2 Legacy mode is not supported and uses system interface.
Current implementation supports GIC secure state only.
All interrupts are routed to Secure EL1 as 'irq' by configuring
them as Group1 Secure.
TODO:
- MPIDR based affinity routing setting.
- percpu redistributor probe
- message based SPI and SGI generation api
- EL1NS support. Legacy mode support.
- LPI/ITS is not supported.

The current Generic Interrupt Controller (GIC) driver makes use of the
multi-level interrupt mechanism and `irq_nextlevel` public interface.
This is a less-than-ideal implementation for the following reasons:
1. The GIC is often used as the main interrupt controller for the
Cortex-A and Cortex-R family SoCs and, in this case, it is not a 2nd
level interrupt controller; in fact, it is the root interrupt
controller and therefore should be treated as such.
2. The only reason for using `irq_nextlevel` here is to interface the
architecture implementation to the interrupt controller functions.
Since there is no nesting or multiple instances of an interrupt
controller involved, there is really no point in adding such an
abstraction.
3. 2nd level topology adds many unnecessary abstractions and results
in strange coding artefacts as well as performance penalty due to
additional branching.
This commit refactors the GIC driver interface as follows:
1. Remove the current GIC driver interface based on the multi-level
interrupt mechanism and the `irq_nextlevel` public interface.
2. Define the GIC driver interface in
`include/drivers/interrupt_controller/gic.h` and allow the arch
implementation to directly invoke this interface.

stm32_exti_enable was returning errors on line > 32 or line pointing
to non implemented line. Both conditions are hard-coded, hence there
is no use to detect them dynamically in the code.
Check them with assert. As a consequence, function could now be void.
Additionally, enable exti irq line only if both checks are passed.

Since it is now possible to disable/re-enable interrupts and
also to reconfigure an already configured interrupt, it is
now required to clear non requested triggers.
While it is not strictly requested, triggers are also cleared
when interrupt is disabled (assuming trigger should be configured
when interrupt is enabled).

implements the GICv2 interface.
This commit refactors the GIC driver to support multiple GIC versions
and adds GICv1 interface support (GICv1 and GICv2 interfaces are very
similar).

In the general case, the local APIC can't be treated as a normal device
with a single boot-time initialization - on SMP systems, each CPU must
initialize its own. Hence the initialization proper is separated from
the device-driver initialization, and said initialization is called
from the early startup-assembly code when appropriate.

From the Jailhouse days, this has been a function call. That's silly.
We now inline the EOI in the ISR when in x2APIC mode. Also clean up
z_irq_controller_eoi(), so it now uses the inline macros.
Also, we now enable x2APIC on up_squared by default.

The MVIC is no longer supported, and only the APIC-based interrupt
subsystem remains. Thus this layer of indirection is unnecessary.
This also corrects an oversight left over from the Jailhouse x2APIC
implementation affecting EOI delivery for direct ISRs only.
