2871c87aae tests: poll: fix misconstructed k_poll_event test
Since commit 0c23cf94a4 ("include/kernel: check type of object passed
to K_POLL_EVENT_INITIALIZER") it is no longer possible to use arbitrary
type literals with the initializer macro. Misconstructing a k_poll_event
type for test purpose must be done explicitly.

cb4a629bc8 tests: removing incorrect testcases of poll
These two test cases both are fault injection test cases,
and there are designed for testing some negative branches
to improve code coverage. But I find that this branch
shouldn't be tested, because the spinlock will be locked
before a procedure performs here, and then it will trigger
an assert error and the process will be rescheduled to the
handler function, and terminated the current test case,
so spinlock will never be unlocked. And it will impact
the next test case in the same test suite(the next testcase
will be never get spinlock).

fcd392f6ce kernel: subsys: lib: drivers: Use k_heap instead of z_mem_pool wrappers
Use the core k_heap API pervasively within our tree instead of the
z_mem_pool wrapper that provided compatibility with the older mempool
implementation.

Almost all of this is straightforward swapping of one alloc/free call
for another. In a few cases where code was holding onto an old-style
"mem_block" a local compatibility struct with a single field has been
swapped in to keep the invasiveness of the changes down.

Note that not all the relevant changes in this patch have in-tree test
coverage, though I validated that it all builds.

32bb2395c2 timeout: Fix up API usage
Kernel timeouts have always been a 32 bit integer despite the
existence of generation macros, and existing code has been
inconsistent about using them. Upcoming commits are going to make the
timeout arguments opaque, so fix things up to be rigorously correct.
Changes include:

+ Adding a K_TIMEOUT_EQ() macro for code that needs to compare timeout
values for equality (e.g. with K_FOREVER or K_NO_WAIT).

+ Adding a k_msleep() synonym for k_sleep() which can continue to take
integral arguments as k_sleep() moves away to timeout arguments.

+ Pervasively using the K_MSEC(), K_SECONDS(), et. al. macros to
  generate timeout arguments.

+ Removing the usage of K_NO_WAIT as the final argument to
K_THREAD_DEFINE(). This is just a count of milliseconds and we need
  to use a zero.

This patch include no logic changes and should not affect generated
code at all.

d1200d2155 tests: Never disable SMP
Disabling SMP mode for certain tests was a one-release thing, done to
avoid having to triage every test independently (MANY are not
SMP-safe), and with the knowledge that it was probably hiding bugs in
the kernel.

Turn it on pervasively. Tests are treated with a combination of
flagging specific cases as "1cpu" where we have short-running tests
that can be independently run in an otherwise SMP environment, and via
setting CONFIG_MP_NUM_CPUS=1 where that's not possible (which still
runs the full SMP kernel config, but with only one CPU available).

41f6011c36 userspace: remove APPLICATION_MEMORY feature
This was never a long-term solution, more of a gross hack
to get test cases working until we could figure out a good
end-to-end solution for memory domains that generated

to remove it, delete this feature.

3772f77119 k_poll: expose to user mode
k_poll is now accessible from user mode. A memory allocation takes place
from the caller's resource pool to copy the provided poll_events
array; this can be large enough to make allocating it on the stack
not preferable.

k_poll_signal are now proper kernel objects. Two APIs have been added,
one to reset the signaled state and one to check the current signaled
state and result value.

65a9d2a94a kernel: make K_.*_INITIALIZER private to kernel
Upcoming memory protection features will be placing some additional
constraints on kernel objects:

- They need to reside in memory owned by the kernel and not the
application
- Certain kernel object validation schemes will require some run-time
initialization of all kernel objects before they can be used.

Per Ben these initializer macros were never intended to be public. It is
not forbidden to use them, but doing so requires care: the memory being
initialized must reside in kernel space, and extra runtime
initialization steps may need to be peformed before they are fully
usable as kernel objects. In particular, kernel subsystems or drivers
whose objects are already in kernel memory may still need to use these
macros if they define kernel objects as members of a larger data
structure.

It is intended that application developers instead use the
K_<object>_DEFINE macros, which will automatically put the object in the
right memory and add them to a section which can be iterated over at
boot to complete initiailization.

There was no K_WORK_DEFINE() macro for creating struct k_work objects,
this is now added.

k_poll_event and k_poll_signal are intended to be instatiated from
application memory and have not been changed.
