The commit changes error handling by fs_unmount; the function will
return -EINVAL if mount point, described by mp, is not mounted or
-ENNOTSUP when unmounting is not supported by the driver; in the second
case it will also log error.
Additionally to the above changes, checks for correct mnt_path and
mnt_path, within fs_unmount, have been removed as they are not needed;
only the fs_mount_t->fs pointer is needed to decide whether system is
mounted or not.

The commit moves fs_mount parameter verification above mutex lock.
The list of mount points is now checked before attempting to obtain
file system API pointer.
All modifications to mount point data structure, given as a parameter
to the fs_mount, are only applied after every other operation needed
have completed successfully, immediately before adding the mount point
to the list of mount points.

Add a generic host command handler framework that allows users to
declare new host command handlers with the HOST_COMMAND_HANDLER macro
at build time. The framework will handle incoming messages from the
host command peripheral device and forwards the incoming data to the
appropriate host command handler, which is looked up by id.
The framework will also send the response from the handler back to the
host command peripheral device. The device handles sending the data on
the physical bus.
This type of host command communication is typically done on an embedded
controller for a notebook or computer. The host would be the main
application processor (aka AP, CPU, SoC).

OT_RADIO_CAPS_SLEEP_TO_TX was added as a radio capability
for ieee802154 radio. Waiting on RX state before transmission
is alternative condition to OT_RADIO_CAPS_SLEEP_TO_TX support

not needed in the Zephyr. Such change lets to start transmission

Zephyr platform does not support MAC retransmissions on its own,
so OT_RADIO_CAPS_TRANSMIT_RETRIES capability was removed.
It should not be enabled basing on IEEE802154_HW_CSMA support,

assumes that platform performs retransmissions on its own,
what is not provided and leads to lack of MAC retransmissions.

The previous test had two defects. First, the shell command was called
before the backend was initialized.
Second, the test compared the string from shell's backend buffer with
the reference string using strncmp function. This test result was very
susceptible to the time when it was performed because of data contained
in the buffer. Apart from expected string there was data like escape
codes needed to control the terminal.
To fix it, function strncmp was replaced by strstr, which
searches for the reference strings regardless of the characters
controlling the terminal.

displayed. This greatly simplifies the navigation between projects when

"NONE" defeats this functionality.
This patch tries to use sensible project names while not duplicating
too much of what is already represented in the path. This is done by
using the name of the directory the relevant CMakeLists.txt file is
stored in. To ensure unique project names, small, manual adjustments

Kernel timeouts have always been a 32 bit integer despite the
existence of generation macros, and existing code has been
inconsistent about using them. Upcoming commits are going to make the
timeout arguments opaque, so fix things up to be rigorously correct.
Changes include:
+ Adding a K_TIMEOUT_EQ() macro for code that needs to compare timeout
values for equality (e.g. with K_FOREVER or K_NO_WAIT).
+ Adding a k_msleep() synonym for k_sleep() which can continue to take
integral arguments as k_sleep() moves away to timeout arguments.
+ Pervasively using the K_MSEC(), K_SECONDS(), et. al. macros to
generate timeout arguments.
+ Removing the usage of K_NO_WAIT as the final argument to
K_THREAD_DEFINE(). This is just a count of milliseconds and we need
to use a zero.
This patch include no logic changes and should not affect generated
code at all.

Old behavior was to use $ENV{ZEPHYR_BASE} for inclusion of boiler plate

Whenever an automatic run of CMake happend by the build system / IDE
then it was required that ZEPHYR_BASE was defined.
Using ZEPHYR_BASE only to locate the Zephyr package allows CMake to
cache the base variable and thus allowing subsequent invocation even

Before C sources can be compiled any generated header that they
include must be generated. Currently, the target 'offsets_h' happens
to depend directly or indirectly on all generated headers.
This means that to compile safely, one can simply depend on
'offsets_h'. But this is coincidental and might not be true in the
future.
To be able to safely depend on a target that represents all generated
headers being ready we introduce the target
'zephyr_generated_headers'.
Any third-party build scripts can now safely depend on
'zephyr_generated_headers' and be protected from any internal changes
to the build system, like the removal of offsets_h.

A few settings module variables were not initialized before used.
Normally these variable are initialized in the back-end
initialization call which couldn't be done in affected unit tests.
This path initialize these variable via assignments in test code.

Stops leaking very long source paths in build directories; makes them
deterministic.
Besides satisfying a CMake requirement, the new empty_file.c provide a
clue that the actual test code is not in the directory of the test case.
See https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/hal_nordic/pull/6 and
https://gitlab.kitware.com/cmake/cmake/issues/19475 for more details.

Application board.overlay files tend to be paired with
boards/board.conf files that extend the functionality of a board.
Move the overlay files to the same location as the config files that
they work with.
A few overlay files that are paired with a prj_board.conf file in the
application root directory are left in place.

Mostly build tests now, will be extended to verify CTF output once we
have this feature in sanitycheck.

Integrated Settings module tests with the NVS backend. The batch of
tests is shared with other backends.

Changed the name of functional tests for NVS and FCB in the test
configuration file to avoid duplication with other test suites.

Limited the scope of helper functions that are used in the common test
source. Now it is easier to identify which functions are intended to be
used in the test suite.

As it stands, this option leads to conflict between Newlib and POSIX
headers. (Which needs to be resolved separately.)

directly to the given callback function.

Platforms with limited flash are now failing to link. Add or increase
flash requirements for test cases to exclude the ones that will fail.

The test needs to cram at least 8 messages into the log buffer, but
with 64-bit pointers only 5 fit, so make the buffer a bit bigger.

We don't allow an ifdef in ztest_test_suite because its a macro. We
usually handle this by defining multiple blocks and ifdef around them.
